re-Engineering Rural Life

March 4 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm AEDT

Bakwena Ba Mogopa Community Development Foundation is organizing the event to be attended by engineers, academic institutions, government representatives, and aspiring students from the host community.

The main objectives of hosting the event are:
1.To improve public understanding of how engineering and technology are central to modern life and sustainable development by highlighting the achievements of engineers and engineering in our modern life.
2.To highlight how engineering and technology can change the world for the better. Engineers are now required to bring clean water and sanitation to rural communities and grow more food in a sustainable way to preserve natural resources for the future generations.
3.To promote engineering as a career by encouraging young people: ‘If you want to change the world for the better, become an engineer’.
4.To engage with government and industry to address the need for engineering capacity to develop strategic frameworks and best practice engineering solutions.
5.To promote engineering since all the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be advanced through engineering.
