Anthropocene Week

Anthropocene Week is an educational event, which aim is to teach our future graduates in computer engineering and HR about the complexity of contemporary social and environmental issues, so that they are as prepared as possible to work in an economic system affected by climate change and increasing resource scarcity.

Some of the conferences (in french) will be broadcasted live on :

Tuesday, the 5th of March :

– “Le monde change et on n’y comprend rien !” (“The world is changing and no one gets it !”) with Julien Devaureix, from 3pm to 4:30pm ;
– “S’adapter au dérèglement climatique en Nouvelle-Aquitaine” (“Adaptation to climate change in Nouvelle-Aquitaine”) with Nicolas Picard and former IPCC member Hervé le Treut, from 5pm to 7pm.

Thursday, the 7th of March :

– Introductory conference of the “Ethic and Anthropocene” Day with Marc Mainguené from 9am to 10am ;
– “Ethique et décroissance” (“Ethic and degrowth”) with Timothée Parrique, from 10:30am to 12am ;
– “Ethique et usages de l’eau” (“Ethic and uses of water”) with Charlène Descollonges, Michel Baudu, Maxime Fouillet and Philippe Marc, hosted by Monica Cardillo, from 2pm to 3:45pm ;
– “Ethique et numérique” (“Ethic and digital technology”) with Nicolas Celnik, 4pm to 5:30pm.
